Late last week, crews placed new pavement on Chandler Street, from 10th Avenue and going a short distance east along 20th Street. Also last week, most of the residential driveways were completed. The sidewalk at the entrance to Jefferson High School off 20th Street opened today.
The remaining segment of 20th Street to Jefferson High School should be completed shortly after Labor Day, followed by driveways and sodding. We’re on track to have 20th Street completed by the end of September.
Elsewhere on the project, new water main is being tested, then services will shortly be connected on the Chandler Street loop between 20th Street and the entrance to the City reservoir at the top of the hill, which will be followed by the construction of remaining storm sewer and intakes. We expect construction of new pavement on this portion of the Chandler Street loop to occur in October.
The remainder of the project is scheduled to be completed 2022.
