Our History
After the floods in 2008, a group of neighbors around Cleveland Park in Cedar Rapids came together to discuss some concerns in the community. Over time, the same group of 6 or 7 individuals continued to meet on a regular basis to discuss city plans, assist with neighborhood concerns, and focus on ideas on how to better the area and connect the city to our neighborhood.
In 2013, the Cleveland Area Neighborhood Association officially came to be. Since inception, dozens of families have become interested in engaging in the organization. Each individual who has become a part of the organization has the same goal: to grow our community. We focus on ways to support the city and neighborhood projects. Through the dedication our members show for our community, the Cleveland Area Neighborhood Association will continue to grow and our neighborhood will continue to thrive.
**The Cleveland Area Neighborhood association is an official 501(c) 3 tax-exempt, charitable organization. All donations to our non-profit association are tax deductible. Please contact our treasurer at [email protected] with any questions.**
