The Rollin' Recmobile at Cleveland Park and Cedar Rapids Public Library Mobile Tech Lab has been CANCELLED today (7/28/21), due to excessive heat. We will see you on Saturday at 2pm, assuming good weather.
Intersection of 15th St NW & A Ave NW
Brandy Shoemaker has been in contact with the City in regards to the recurring accidents on the corner of 15th St NW and A Ave NW. As of today, the City is going to take action by adding lines on the road and "No Parking" signs on the odd-numbered side of the street. Further information will be provided at our August CANA meeting. Thank you to Brandy for sharing the concern and helping us take action to improve our neighborhood streets!
Paving for Progress - Chandler St SW & 20th St SW
As a reminder to neighbors affected by the construction on Chandler St SW and 20th St SW, PLEASE let us know if you are having any issues accessing your property. We have contacts at Pirc Tobin and the City of Cedar Rapids Iowa Government to assist you as none of this construction is convenient for neighbors, let alone if your property is on an incline, you have mobility issues, etc. - but we want to help you navigate through the construction as best as possible.
A special thank you to Jan Coleman for handling a neighbor's recent concern in regards to the gravel being placed in driveways as the properties are being accessed for work. We appreciate your support of the Cleveland Area Neighborhood!
We are very fortunate to have such friendly workers on-site from Pirc Tobin Construction, Inc.! Please show them kindness as the construction continues. They are doing an excellent job staying on track with the work and working hard in the summer heat to get the work done so we can go back to "normal" as soon as possible in the neighborhood.
