A MESSAGE FROM THE PARKS DEPARTMENT IN CEDAR RAPIDS
Beginning today, June 8, 2020, the existing playground at Cleveland Park will be closed so that it can be removed. This will make way for a new playground that will be installed later this week and the week following. The new playground at Cleveland Park will include a 2-5 year old play structure and a 5-12 year old play structure. There will be new swings, including a companion swing. There will also be musical instruments, spring rider, net climber and other exciting features. The new playground features many universally accessible features.
The Parks Department is looking at a 2-3 week time line to complete construction of the new playground depending upon weather.
