As we acknowledge the anniversary of the Flood of 2008, the City of Cedar Rapids asks neighbors to review flood safety information.
During an emergency, the City of Cedar Rapids uses the Incident Command System, which is a standardized approach to command, control, and coordination used by public agencies to manage emergencies. Following an emergency, an after-action review is important to identify opportunities for improvements in future emergency situations. Everybody can prepare for emergencies by having resources and plans ready to go when the next disaster strikes.
