Nic Roberts gave the city update as Mark English was not in attendance. He shared that we are no longer able to direct bill the city as we have been doing in the past. This may cause some financial barriers with future endeavors as we have directly billed the city and had this money taken out of our account in the past. Attached is the “Neighborhood News” city handout in the email as well.
Nic mentioned that we DO have permission from the City of Cedar Rapids to place a Little Library in Cleveland Park. Attached is the handout that Nic provided regarding the Little Libraries.
Daniel Gibbins reported to Nic Roberts that he is able to get us some park benches for Cleveland Park.
Treasurer’s Report: Current balance $459.75
We did FINALLY get our 501(c)3 awarded!
Lucas Pump from Building Services Department was in attendance and talked about how to handle complaints of potential nuisance properties and what the guidelines are. Please see attached form that was provided for various complain inquiries.
George Heeren met with the pastor from the Presbyterian Church about having our annual pancake breakfast there and they said this would be alright. We felt having the event indoors and marketing the event better will bring in more people. This is a fundraising event so the more people we can get the better. More information will follow.
